usually after fashion week, i do a roundup of my favorite collections showcased. this year, i was seriously more fascinated with everything going on behind the scenes than the actual collections themselves...

last night, jcpenney threw a smashing soiree in honor of their new partnership with joe fresh. the event was held at a pop-up store right on melrose avenue and get this - the store will only be open for three days! after that, you'll be able to purchase joe fresh at any jcp.
on to the fun stuff: paul mcdonald and nikki reed performed, dj ana calderon and rumer willis provided some tunes. the orange carpet was filled with a wonderful slew of celebrities.

tonight on my way home from work i was able to literally pop my head into lovers + friends' spring launch party hosted and designed by because i'm addicted's geri hirsch. geri's capsule collection is nothing short than a dream closet for any cali girl mixing light fabrics with fresh and fun designs. even got to snap a photo with the fab blogger turned designer! do check out the collection and enjoy!

last weekend i had the honor and pleasure going to mario testino's private exhibition opening at prism studio, west hollywood. it was quite the who's who of celebrities, debutantes and artists. in other words, constant idalia eye candy!
the afterparty was even more grandiose - even got to chat with nina garcia (ie: the reason i started to read fashion magazines). no cameras were allowed, so you're going to have to take my word for it kids.
exhibit runs 'til march 30th - a must-do if you're in the city.
