the beautiful thing about griffith park is that it's about 15 minutes from practically anywhere in the city and once you enter, you forget that your right smack in the middle of los angeles. originally founded in 1882 by colonel griffith j. griffith, this park has played a vital role in the city's life.
because i was with my dog who is not one for the long and steep hikes, i wasn't as adventurous as i tend to be. in either case, i enjoyed my brief escape.
