this past weekend el carmen had one of their infamous tequila tastings. if you know me, you know tequila is my poison. not only did i used to work at this bar, i've also taken several classes teaching me about the spirit.
the three tequilas that stood out was the 1921, unique (both photographed above), and clase azul.
for all you whiskey/scotch drinkers, try the clase azul reposado - it's aged a minimum of eight months in small oak barrels using a blend of bourbon, cognac, and sherry casks.
