when i woke up this morning, i turned to my darling mother and enthusiastically said, "we're going to south beach!" it was honestly the only way i could see myself spending the last day of the year - out in the bright and warm miami sun. the woman had me in her car 20 minutes later and we were off to a delightful afternoon.

and so my friends, we bid 2012 adieu. i hope you have a safe and enchanting new year's eve.
