we love

where do i begin?
in one week i'll be turning thirty and a plethora of thoughts, events, emotions, and situations have sprung up from the depths of the universe and into my reality. it's like the gods are publicly conspiring to make sure my twenties end as the big bang begun. my goal is simply to welcome my thirties in peace.

i will use the word, "break up" in the lightest of terms simply because it's the only word that seems to fit in between the fragmented pieces of my heart. the past week has been rather difficult and although i try to keep my head up and my upper lip stiff, i still awaken in the middle of the night in a cold sweat.
how did i even get here?

what begins to then creep its way in is the feeling of anger. i can deal just fine with sadness, heartbreak and frustration, but anger is a territory best not for me to even dip my toes in. how does one remedy that? especially when the other party involved is in fact more angry than you and no matter how many conversations are had, progress is merely a dream that only i seem to want make a reality.

we love and sometimes we lose. we love and sometimes we are easily replaced. we love and sometimes we lie and are lied to.
may this lesson always remind me of the strong woman i am - one filled with integrity, good-will, and resilience.

  1. As Diane Vreeland said: “I think when you’re young you should be a lot with yourself and your sufferings. Then one day you get out where the sun shines and the rain rains and the snow snows and it all comes together.”..
I hope everything goes well! Many kisses!

  12. I think that turning thirty is no more significant than turning 29, just like passing one mileage marker on a road trip isn't any more significant than passing the one prior. But it is more symbolic. It’s the difference between passing the mileage marker that says, “Welcome to Oregon” and “Rest Area: 52 miles.”
I think it's mostly a relief, like ah, you're living your life and that’s pretty cool ;)
