first time

the past couple of days have been really magical having my mother and little sister (ahem... or should i say the talented photographer) in town. after a weekend of endless touristy attractions, shows, and dinners, i was genuinely sad to see them go. everywhere i went my sister kept quietly snapping away on her iphone the things that had inspired her the most. when i saw the pics, i turned and said they were really good and what her thoughts were in shooting me for the blog. and here you have it! part one of two that she took. can you believe it's the first time she picks up an actual camera?!

ps: can you tell spring is finally in the city? hoorah!

the simple fact that spring is in the air brings a smile to my face every morning as i awake. thinking about it the other day, i noticed that i had never lived in a location where spring was actually a season. being from los angeles and miami, the weather is extremely temperate and i've never been able to see buds on trees, or green grass surface from the dead of the soil. it's quite amazing seeing things bloom before your eyes.
