the getty

this labor day weekend i had one specific goal:
the getty museum

there is something so soothing and refreshing about going to the getty - and something even more magical about going while the sun is setting. once considered an architectural impossibility, the museum rests on top of a mountain overlooking the city of angels. it was built from 1.2 million squares of travertine rock specially brought in from italy. this is honestly one of my most coveted spots in all the city.

mission accomplished.

what i wore:
love in shirt, j brand jean shorts, abercrombie & fitch belt,
gap sandals, chloe sunglasses, la tour eiffel vintage purse

oxford two

day two of oxford began by quickly visiting one of the museums. the day, however, was truly dedicated to getting to the trout inn - a fabulous restaurant resting along the banks of the thames river (even lewis carroll and cs lewis used to sit outside and drink a glass of wine here).
it was over an hour walk along the countryside filled with cows, swans and sailboats. the journey is off the beaten path and really separates you away from the daily grind of modern life.
on the walk back, i was able to see the oxford university press.

probably one of the prettiest walks i've ever been on...
