neuschwanstein castle  is a 19th-century romanesque revival palace  on a rugged hill in southwest bavaria, germany. the palace was commissioned by ludwig II of bavaria (with his own money) in 1869 and wasn't finished until 1892.
why has this castle tickled my fancy more than any other? it was the inspiration to disneyland's sleeping beauty castle.
and if you know me, you know i love me some sleeping beauty (i promise i'm not disney freak though).
