it's here. fashion month has officially become us.
in three days, nyfw begins and my life will turn into a bigger frenzy than it normally is. amongst the shows and events, i'm very much excited to see the streetstyle. seeing how stockholm started off everything, i'll be sure to take some notes and transition the styles to new york.

since moving to the city, my hair has gone through quite the rollercoaster ride ie: cold dry weather, black box hair dye (forgive me, i was having a marc jacobs runway moment, and wanted to jump on the black train), and now the humidity that summer has to offer.
the game changer was when spoke & weal, the salon i swear by back in los angeles, opened up in nyc (even vogue was excited) and alas my hair came back to life thanks to the calculating and miraculous hands of jon reyman and colorist christine thompson.
i get stopped down the streets from utter strangers, get questioned from my clients and talent, and get emails from my readers with : who, what, where, how?
the picture above i took myself on a sunday morning with nothing more that slabbing on some light elements cream. really wanting to capture how my hair looks naturally and not right after the salon/professional help, here is the real deal.
if you're in the los angeles or nyc area, check them out.
i promise your mane-life will forever change.

nyfw : street style

let me break it down for you, y'all : it's f*cking cold outside. i've never hinted at a curse word in all my years of blogging, but i truly feel it's the only appropriate word to explain the fiercly brutal temperature in the city. waking up this morning to -10* (please note the negative), and walking to the public school show felt more like a darwinian social experiment than a glamorous strut. the brilliant news is that i rubbed elbows with anna wintour. no seriously, i did. literally, did. my life is complete.
in the meantime, enjoy the street style. you better believe these broads weren't outside for more than 30 seconds.

into the wild

can the air start getting more crisp in los angeles already? this editorial starring anja rubik for paris vogue shot by lachlan bailey is everything i love about the season that will eventually find its way to my city. isn’t this simply gloriously gorgeous and warm?

as fashion week wraps, here is the last of the street styles - the city of love and lights, paris. while every city provided its own unique highlights and features, paris seemed to be very much heavy on structure and bold patterns/prints.
