hi milan!

the struggle is real : i have major fomo due to paris couture this past week. always a fan of phil oh and his snaps across town, these continue to impress with the likes of lineisy montero (j'adore this girl!), caroline issa, and sofia sanchez. from metallics to intricate prints, it's refreshing to see a colorful and playful vibe around the fashion capital of the world.

after a long drought of not wearing heels, i've decided it's rightful time for me to suck it up and strap it on. the key is either upright comfort like this pair or a cab always readily available. in either case, my five foot two self is now ready to be closer to pedestrian height. whew.
keeping to my true monotone roots(and believe me i'm contemplating the risk of prints and colors), most of the time simplicity is key.
nudity is key.

one of my favorite trends right now (and one that instantly changes and elevates any boring outfit) is that of the silk scarf and/or bandana! ever since it's made its triumphant return in streetsyle during fashion week, i've been seriously on lock with it. simple wrap twice around your neck and double knot it in the front. it's really that easy.
here are some of my personal favorite places to purchase:

although it may sound a bit silly to spend so much money on such a small item, i always feel that it's an investment. when i go into my mom's closet and see her collection dating back to the 60s, i'm in awe on how gorgeous and on trend they will always be.

let me break it down for you, y'all : it's f*cking cold outside. i've never hinted at a curse word in all my years of blogging, but i truly feel it's the only appropriate word to explain the fiercly brutal temperature in the city. waking up this morning to -10* (please note the negative), and walking to the public school show felt more like a darwinian social experiment than a glamorous strut. the brilliant news is that i rubbed elbows with anna wintour. no seriously, i did. literally, did. my life is complete.
in the meantime, enjoy the street style. you better believe these broads weren't outside for more than 30 seconds.

what a difference this city to all the others! where black and white dominated the other shows, paris has been all about vibrant color and various textures. and can we talk about the patterns?
