anyone that knows me knows i love a good black on black outfit. anyone that wears black on black frequently knows the difficulty in making each outfit look uniquely its own.
ever get that feeling?
i had been looking for the perfect structured black pant for a while and alas i found it in j.crew (not to mention the flat mules as well). pairing it up with an oversized structured sweater completes the outfit with a more modern twist - as opposed to a fitted top. the shoes provide an nice alternative for me who practically lives in sneakers ever since moving to the city and walking everywhere needed to be.
how do you wear black on black?

black fringe

can you tell i'm all about the fringe lately? now that the crop top is back in style, an easy way to get into the trend is simply by taking an old shirt and giving it a proper snip. that's exactly what i did with this zara top and voila! came out rather perfect! think about those old pj tops with cool prints that you could revive...

los angeles is all smiles as half the city joyfully flees to the desert for weekend one of coachella.

romp fringe

can you feel it in the air.... it's coming!
coachella!
one of the biggest trends i'm looking forward to (not only for the carnival but for spring and summer)is fringe. this beige suede piece by romp is an absolute dream - literally feeling like butter on my skin. and although when we think "fringe" we think hippie/woodstock, this is a beautiful example on how to keep it classic and clean.
