with the temperature rising and rising i've been venturing and staying more faithful to dresses. keeping a bit of an edge and not having everything be so floral and bright, this number is reminiscent of a mechanic's coverall, which is actually a plus in my book!

lounge

some weekends are made for loungewear.

nothing could have made me happier than having a four day weekend (i know right?!) with the weather being nothing short of glorious. alas i'm welcoming dresses to my wardrobe and saying adios to the sweaters. where as last spring and summer, i fully indulged in shorts and tees, the forecast it seems for me this year to be dresses - from loose to tunics to structured. i'm embracing the feminine while keeping it sharp. with high street brands, effortless marries affordable. wish me luck!

transition

it's become somewhat surreal that the second i feel the sunshine and the weather is warmer than 30*f i jump for joy and enthusiastically rip off any coat i may be wearing.
this winter i've thoroughly enjoyed mixing luxury pieces with more down-to-earth basics. i've also been all about menswear (no surprise there). going from work to events/dinners, i've had to be very conscious on how my wardrobe can transition from day to night. this outfit is one that fits both specs.
