it was rather incredible how warm the days were in salt lake city and once the sun began to set, how quickly the chill came (somewhat like los angeles). i loved clothing myself in bulkier items and having a more relaxed look - given the relaxed environment around me. and let's just take a moment here to mention the elephant in the room - that's right kids, i gave in and bought birkenstocks. or as i like to refer them "faux-kenstocks." whilest at target in utah, i found this pair from sam & libby and let me say - i love them!

a constant scratch-in-head moment for me is how to make lounge wear look remotely chic. a simple and quick way answer is by making the ever-so-easy turban: grab any scarf (or clothing material for that matter), and wrap it around your head. it's literally that easy. throw on a wrap/sweater and you're good to go. and because i'm not one to wear any sort of heel/platform with a bikini, i always resort to my ever faithful havaianas.

living in style

last night i had the pleasure of attending rachel zoe's "living in style" book signing at marc jacobs in beverly hills. and whilest i was a bit of a ding-dong in forgetting my camera, thought these quick i-phone snaps would suffice. no?

happy memorial day weekend y'all. i'm looking forward to some sunshine and bar-b-ques with friends. here's to all the troops who have sacrificed their lives in order to protect our country.

rock to rock

this past weekend i did an impromptu hike up the malibu hills... nothing like climbing some rock in non-hike gear. although the beach was overcast, we were so high up on the mountain that we drove over the cloudy layer. 
my friends and i went in and out of caves, jumped from rock to rock, found little nooks and crannies, and had a blast overall. most of these photos were taken very high up - one slip and adios idalia! very 127hrs of me.
